Key Responsibilities
Structural Design & Consulting
- Collaborate with structure consultants, government agencies, IITs/NITs for designing structural frameworks for repair and retrofitting.
- Design structures ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Conduct calculations and simulations to evaluate strength and stability.
- Prepare and review shop drawings, providing feedback to clients and applicators.
Site & Field Assessment
- Conduct site visits to assess structural integrity and identify potential issues.
- Perform field inspections and write detailed project reports on viability, progress, and structural safety.
Technical Expertise
- Utilize structural analysis software: STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS.
- Use CAD software for design and documentation.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of Indian and international building codes (IS codes, Eurocodes, AISC).
- Understand construction processes, materials, and methodologies.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- M.Tech / M.E. in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a structural consultant company on the design side
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Expertise in structural analysis, design software, and CAD tools
- Knowledge of construction methods and material behavior
