Responsibilities
As a Site Installation Engineer at Siemens Energy Gurugram, your responsibilities include:
- Managing and supervising electrical activities at project sites.
- Coordinating with clients, vendors, and contractors to resolve queries during erection and commissioning.
- Reviewing engineering documents including installation drawings, cable schedules, and control room layouts.
- Inspecting, verifying, and certifying bills for electrical works.
- Approving and testing electrical equipment, systems, and accessories.
- Recommending and implementing design modifications based on site requirements.
- Conducting quality checks for incoming materials and supervising site installation.
- Troubleshooting and commissioning field instruments, transformers, motors, pumps, switches, and lighting systems.
- Conducting routing surveys for cables/piping and finalizing equipment/instrument locations.
- Collaborating with the design team to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in electrical site execution, erection, and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of electrical equipment and systems (transformers, substation panels, motors, pumps, instruments).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and datasheets.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with clients, contractors, and vendors.
