Key Responsibilities
- Define hardware and RF system specifications for MMIC block development.
- Design and develop MMIC products from concept to mass production.
- Simulate RF front-end MMIC circuits (LNAs, PAs, switches) at circuit and EM level.
- Work with system architects, firmware, and ASIC teams to optimize hardware/software partitioning.
- Collaborate with PCB designers to package and implement MMICs efficiently.
- Conduct performance evaluation, characterization, and analysis of MMIC prototypes.
- Assist in automated test system development for lab and production validation.
- Support manufacturing and production testing of MMIC components.
- Mentor junior engineers in MMIC design, simulation, layout, and test techniques.
Essential Skills & Tools
- Solid experience in GaAs/GaN MMIC circuit design (LNAs, PAs, mixers, PLLs, filters).
- Proficiency in RF/microwave design software: ADS, HFSS, AWR.
- Experience with RF testing equipment: spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators.
- Hands-on knowledge of RF design in S-band to E-band (Ku, Ka, V, E-band).
- Understanding of EM propagation, antenna systems, and digital communication systems.
- Familiarity with modulation techniques: QPSK, APSK, QAM, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Electronics, RF Engineering, or related discipline.
- Expertise in microwave systems engineering, spread spectrum systems, and multi-carrier design.
- Practical knowledge of Design for Manufacturability, MMIC layout and packaging.
