Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for piping routing for various systems essential for supercritical power boilers.
- Review and interpret Process & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID); collaborate with process engineers for process data.
- Conduct clash checks using SPR, generate reports, and ensure optimized pipe routing.
- Provide input to stress analysis teams, coordinate for flexible and feasible support design.
- Model supports based on stress analysis output and extract isometric drawings.
- Update isometrics manually using AutoCAD / 2D MicroStation.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and release isometrics with Material Requests (MRs).
Key Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on experience in SP3D piping modeling.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 2D MicroStation for isometric and piping drawings.
- Knowledge of piping codes and industry standards.
- Experience in pipe routing for power plant applications is an advantage.
- Ability to perform material take-off, cost estimation, and document reviews.
- Basic understanding of stress analysis, hangers/supports, and power plant supercritical boilers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and engineering software.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering & Technology.
- 3–5 years of experience in piping design, isometric extraction, and BOQ preparation.
- Exposure to SP3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and power plant piping projects.
