Key Responsibilities
- Configure, monitor, and manage FortiGate firewalls, including SSL VPN, IPS, and content filtering.
- Administer Cisco Layer 2/3 switches with VLANs, trunking, and routing protocols.
- Oversee wired & wireless networks, including guest Wi-Fi management.
- Monitor network alerts via NMS tools like PRTG, Zabbix, or equivalents.
- Ensure network availability and compliance with security and uptime SLAs.
- Implement network changes in line with organizational IT Security Policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network and connectivity issues.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, firewall rules, and configuration changes.
- Support security audits and implement remediation actions.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in FortiGate firewall administration and Cisco networking.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, VLANs, and VPN technologies.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (PRTG, Zabbix).
- Problem-solving mindset for complex network issues.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced IT environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Networks, or equivalent.
- 4–6 years of proven experience in network and security operations.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE are a plus.
