Key Responsibilities
🔧 Technical Leadership & Design Oversight
- Lead design, simulation, prototyping, and validation of mechanical/aerospace structures.
- Apply Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
- Perform FEA, CFD, topology optimization, and risk-based design trade-offs.
📊 Project Management
- Oversee complete project lifecycle—from concept design to final delivery.
- Manage timelines, budgets, resources, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Track KPIs, conduct periodic reviews, and mitigate project risks effectively.
👥 Team & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers in mechanical and aerospace domains.
- Collaborate with internal teams—software, electrical, production, QA—for integrated execution.
- Liaise with external clients, OEMs, suppliers, and certification agencies.
✅ Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to international aerospace standards and quality frameworks.
- Conduct and support DFMEA, risk assessments, and root cause analysis.
- Champion best practices in design qualification and product certification.
🚀 Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Integrate emerging technologies, especially in Additive Manufacturing.
- Drive process optimization, knowledge sharing, and innovation initiatives.
Required Skills & Preferences
- In-depth understanding of:
- Statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, material science
- Design and qualification of aerospace structures
- Thermal systems for aerospace applications
- Proficiency with:
- CAD & Simulation tools: NX, CATIA, ANSYS, SolidWorks, Simufact, HyperWorks
- AM technologies: LPBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion), DfAM techniques
- Experience with:
- Flight systems (e.g., satellites, launch vehicles, spacecraft)
- Global aerospace design and certification standards (NASA/ESA/ISRO level)
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Aerospace Engineering
- Applied Mechanics or related disciplines
(Preferred: M.Tech/M.Sc with specialization in Structures, Thermal Analysis, or Additive Manufacturing)
