Key Responsibilities
As an Embedded Software Engineer, your primary responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing robust software for embedded systems.
- Customizing and optimizing Embedded Linux BSPs for specific hardware platforms.
- Developing and testing software on Zynq MPSoC with PetaLinux.
- Debugging and troubleshooting embedded software to ensure system reliability and real-time performance.
- Working with hardware engineers to align embedded software with system constraints and hardware features.
- Performing software performance tuning, memory optimization, and energy efficiency improvements.
- Conducting embedded application testing for functional, regression, and performance criteria.
- Participating in code reviews and adhering to coding standards to maintain quality and consistency.
- Supporting the resolution of complex embedded system challenges with innovative, scalable solutions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and QA.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of embedded firmware development and embedded system architecture
- Experience in Embedded Linux customization, device drivers, and BSP
- Familiarity with Zynq MPSoC, PetaLinux, and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
- Understanding of microcontrollers, low-level programming, and memory management
- Ability to analyze and debug complex embedded system issues
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BE) – preferably in:
- Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)
- Computer Science (CS)
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in embedded software development
