Key Responsibilities
As Director – Capital and Debt Advisory, you will:
- Build and nurture relationships with corporate groups, lenders, financial sponsors, ARCs, and legal advisors in the stressed assets space.
- Lead the execution of transactions including project management and oversight of managers and associates.
- Analyze financial and operational positioning of stressed corporates to identify restructuring opportunities.
- Develop financial models, business plans, and information memoranda for restructuring, resolution, or refinancing.
- Coordinate due diligence processes across financial, tax, commercial, and operational areas.
- Drive pitch presentations and business development initiatives to win new mandates.
- Collaborate with legal advisors to finalize transaction documentation and term sheets.
- Track regulatory and market developments, particularly in Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) and restructuring frameworks.
- Support credit monitoring, risk management, and portfolio optimization for clients.
- Provide strategic input for practice growth and business planning within EY’s SaT division.
Skills and Attributes

- Proven experience in transaction advisory, investment banking, or capital markets.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, M&A, and debt restructuring.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to deliver strategic insights and actionable financial solutions.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and negotiation capabilities.
- Adaptability, curiosity, and the ability to sustain positive energy under pressure.
Qualifications
- MBA from a Tier-I Indian Business School.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, or financial advisory.
- Prior experience in M&A teams of banks, NBFCs, insurance companies, or private equity firms is highly desirable.
