Key Responsibilities

1. Threat Modeling & Risk Assessment

• Develop and implement threat models for both on-premises and cloud-based systems using STRIDE, DREAD, and PASTA methodologies.
• Perform comprehensive risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed security best practices into architecture and design.
• Maintain up-to-date security models to address emerging threats and evolving cloud technologies.
• Design resilient architectures for enterprise and critical systems to improve operational resilience.

2. Security Architecture & Best Practices

• Review system designs to detect architectural weaknesses and potential threats.
• Establish secure-by-design principles across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Implement security controls aligned with NIST, ISO 27002, and other global frameworks.
• Evaluate and enhance existing cyber defense mechanisms, ensuring compliance and scalability.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and evolving attack vectors to strengthen the organization’s defense posture.

3. Collaboration & Reporting

• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure security alignment across business units.
• Create detailed security assessment reports, data flow diagrams, and mitigation strategies.
• Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for enterprise and cloud security.
• Guide leadership and project teams in implementing secure cloud adoption strategies.

4. Continuous Learning & Knowledge Sharing

• Maintain expertise in cyber risk management, vulnerability analysis, and security tools.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity research, tools, and trends.
• Promote knowledge-sharing and mentor internal teams on best practices in security architecture.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Information Security, with specialization in Security Architecture, Cloud Security, and Threat Modeling.
• Expertise in threat modeling frameworks (STRIDE, DREAD, PASTA) and tools (OWASP Threat Dragon, Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool).
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and shared responsibility models.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture security, IT risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with security tools: firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and cloud-native security solutions.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Security, or Cybersecurity.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CISM, or CEH.
• Hands-on experience with automotive security frameworks (a plus).
• Knowledge of SDLC integration, DevSecOps, and Zero Trust Architecture.
