Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Electrical BIM Engineer / Modeller at Mott MacDonald, you will:
- Develop and manage Revit models for electrical building services systems such as lighting, power distribution, earthing, and lightning protection.
- Prepare layout drawings, schematics, schedules, and coordination models.
- Ensure technical accuracy and QA/QC compliance for all design deliverables.
- Coordinate seamlessly with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams for multidisciplinary integration.
- Conduct clash detection and coordination using Navisworks.
- Utilize Dynamo scripts to automate and enhance BIM workflows.
- Work within project timelines and delivery milestones while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively within teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Electrical Revit Modelling for building services.
- Strong knowledge of Revit family creation, views, browser structure, filters, sheets, and schedules.
- Ability to produce accurate layout drawings and schematic diagrams.
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and BIM modelling best practices.
- Working knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
- Basic understanding of Dynamo automation workflows.
- Exposure to BIM360 or ProjectWise platforms preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver without extensive mark-ups.
