⚙️ Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, your primary duties will include:
- Pre-Bid Engineering:
- Review and interpret tender documents
- Prepare pre-bid queries and attend pre-bid meetings with clients/consultants
- Site visits for project clarification (if required)
- Design & Documentation:
- Prepare competitive Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and design calculations
- Optimize electrical system design based on project requirements
- Coordinate with Process, Civil, Mechanical, and Instrumentation teams for design integration
- Develop electrical drawings and deliverables in line with project scope
- Client Coordination & Approvals:
- Submit design drawings/documents for client approval
- Address client/consultant comments and provide technical clarifications
- Visit client/consultant offices to obtain timely approvals
- Procurement Support:
- Release purchase requisitions (PRs) for electrical equipment
- Evaluate vendor offers based on technical specifications
- Prepare technical comparison statements and assist in final vendor selection
- Review and approve vendor drawings for manufacturing clearance
- System Design:
- Analyze existing systems or design new ones based on client specifications
- Ensure designs comply with national and international standards
🧠 Required Skills
- Strong foundation in electrical system design for industrial projects
- Experience in BOQ preparation, technical tendering, and detailed engineering
- Familiarity with:
- Electrical layout drawings
- SLDs (Single Line Diagrams)
- Cable sizing, panel schedules, load calculations
- Tools: AutoCAD, ETAP, MS Excel
- Good understanding of Indian and international electrical codes
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills
🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in electrical design engineering
- Prior exposure to Water Treatment, Wastewater, or Infrastructure projects preferred
