Key Responsibilities
As a Test Automation Engineer at WTW, you will:
- Architect and evolve enterprise-grade automation frameworks supporting web, API, mobile, database, and cloud testing.
- Design and maintain scalable, secure, and CI/CD integrated test environments.
- Lead tool evaluations, PoCs, and framework expansion initiatives to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to QA team members, fostering a culture of shift-left testing and continuous improvement.
- Conduct requirements gathering, test planning, execution (automated & manual), and defect analysis.
- Drive test-driven development (TDD) and champion Agile & DevOps methodologies.
- Produce test reports, dashboards, and release documentation with actionable insights.
- Support quality audits by identifying gaps, suggesting process improvements, and ensuring compliance.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in designing and developing automation frameworks (modular, data-driven, hybrid).
- Strong programming knowledge with object-oriented design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, API testing, mobile automation, and microservices testing.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Advanced skills in Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and version control strategies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
Qualifications
- BE, BTech, or MCA with 10+ years of relevant experience in automation testing.
- Proven track record in enterprise-scale test automation and framework architecture.
- Hands-on experience in Agile software development environments.
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification preferred.
- Background in employee benefits, insurance, healthcare, or wealth management domains is a plus.
