About the Role
As a Manager – Automation Testing at Deloitte, you’ll lead the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks to ensure product quality and reliability. You’ll define test strategies, oversee the creation of validation documents, and drive the integration of automation practices within large-scale software delivery programs.
You’ll play a critical role in maintaining traceability between business requirements and test results, ensuring transparency, accountability, and full quality assurance lifecycle coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage end-to-end automation testing strategies for multiple projects.
- Build, execute, and maintain automated test suites using Cypress, Playwright, and Mabl.
- Ensure seamless integration of automation tools with CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead and mentor QA teams to adopt best practices in test automation and validation.
- Create and maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure full coverage and compliance.
- Prepare and review validation documentation including test plans, validation plans, and test summary reports.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and business teams to define and refine test scenarios.
- Analyze complex software systems to identify potential test automation opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing automation frameworks, scripts, and processes.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
Experience:
- 10+ years of professional experience in software testing, with 4+ years in automation leadership roles.
- Strong experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
Core Skills:
- Proficiency in Cypress, Playwright, Mabl, and Jira for automation and test management.
- Hands-on expertise in requirements traceability, validation planning, and documentation.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps testing methodologies.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with API testing, UI automation, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Experience with performance testing tools and continuous integration systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Previous consulting experience or client-facing project delivery exposure.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
