Responsibilities
As a Material Quotation Specialist, you will:
- Review Bills of Material (BOMs) to ensure completeness of required details.
- Identify issues in electronic and electrical components and communicate with customers upfront.
- Request, validate, and process quotations from suppliers (RFQs).
- Ensure timely RFQ submissions and follow-ups with suppliers for offers.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure competitive quotes.
- Analyze cost data and recommend corrective actions.
- Suggest alternate components or manufacturers when required.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve material and quotation-related queries.
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives.
- Apply data analytics for insights into cost and supply chain performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in the electrical or electronics industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (EEE/ECE).
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, including:
- Resistors, capacitors, inductors
- Crystals & protection devices
- Diodes, transistors, MOSFETs
- Linear ICs (regulators, comparators, op-amps)
- Logic ICs (gates, buffers, flip-flops)
- Microcontrollers, processors, memory devices
- In-depth understanding of BOM structuring and procurement terms: MOQ, SPQ, NCNR, NRE, UOM, COO, HTS, payment & delivery terms.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, CountIF, etc.).
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Knowledge of Quote Win tool and macros is an added advantage.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on cost efficiency and accuracy.
