Overview

EY India is seeking a Senior Pharma Forecasting Specialist to join its Pune office. This role is ideal for professionals with 6–8 years of experience in pharmaceutical forecasting, business analysis, and therapeutic area expertise. The role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and basic Python coding proficiency to develop accurate forecasts that support strategic and operational decision-making.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Develop brand and franchise volume forecasts for short-term and long-term planning at global, country, and regional levels.
• Conduct strategic long-term forecasting, providing actionable guidance based on franchise insights.
• Solve brand-level analytical challenges using quantitative approaches and perform sensitivity analyses to manage risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, MMD, HHI, and RCL to meet global and regional forecasting needs.
• Recommend assumptions and methodologies for forecasting models and maintain accurate forecasts using advanced analytical techniques.
• Prepare concept notes and executive presentations to communicate insights and recommendations.
• Apply Python coding skills to automate and improve forecasting processes.
• Analyze historical data and market trends to inform and refine forecasting models.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs to track forecast performance and accuracy.
• Continuously optimize forecasting processes and methodologies, keeping abreast of industry best practices, AI, and ML applications.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other quantitative fields.
• 6–8 years of experience in pharmaceutical forecasting, business analysis, or therapeutic area-specific analytics.
• Strong therapeutic area knowledge (Oncology, Vaccines, etc.) and pharma industry experience.
• Proficiency in forecasting, business analysis, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, and other analytical tools.
• Basic Python coding skills to automate workflows and improve forecast accuracy.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing and maintaining forecasting models for pharmaceutical brands or franchises.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning, Statistical Learning, and AI applications in forecasting.
• Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving ability and cross-functional collaboration experience.
