Key Responsibilities
- Analyze application requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing.
- Execute exploratory and regression testing, ensuring thorough defect identification and reporting.
- Identify automation candidates and develop test scripts to automate repetitive testing processes.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to reproduce defects and validate bug fixes.
- Track, log, and manage defects through the entire bug lifecycle ensuring timely resolution.
- Maintain and update test documentation including test cases, defect reports, and automation scripts.
- Support agile development cycles by integrating testing activities with sprint goals and timelines.
- Communicate test progress, risks, and results to stakeholders and project teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 to 6 years of experience in software testing with a focus on manual and automation testing.
- Strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle, defect management, and agile testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT) and scripting.
- Basic programming skills and knowledge of SQL to query databases and validate test data.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to prioritize test cases and defect resolution.
