Key Responsibilities
- Lead site reliability engineering (SRE) practices across applications and platforms, balancing feature delivery, efficiency, and stability.
- Act as a strategic influencer, guiding team and technical planning to enhance reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation.
- Negotiate effectively with peers and executives to achieve optimal outcomes for stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of continual improvement, leveraging metrics and blameless post-mortems to enhance systems and processes.
- Mentor and coach entry-to mid-level technologists, supporting professional development and growth.
- Ensure documentation and sharing of knowledge, innovations, and best practices within teams, communities of practice, and guilds.
- Drive adoption of SRE principles, including automation, CI/CD, container orchestration, and modern cloud practices.
- Complete SRE Bar Raiser Program and demonstrate SRE excellence within your domain.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Formal training or certification in Site Reliability Engineering with 5+ years applied experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ leadership experience managing technologists in complex technical domains.
- Advanced understanding of site reliability principles and ability to implement SRE practices across teams.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java Spring Boot, .NET, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS), and cloud platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot networking issues and demonstrate proficiency in technical processes across cloud, AI/ML, and mobile disciplines.
- Proven ability to influence team culture, drive innovation, and implement process improvements.
