Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant in Functional Testing at Deloitte India, your role will involve:
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct a wide range of testing types, including web, API, UI, functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing within an agile delivery model.
- Test Design & Execution: Participate in the software development lifecycle by designing and executing test cases, debugging, and ensuring the successful implementation of integrated solutions.
- Collaboration: Work alongside development teams to perform test planning and ensure high-quality test scripts for end-to-end solutions.
- Issue Analysis: Investigate test failures, debug issues, and collaborate with teams to ensure thorough issue resolution.
- Agile Methodology: Work within agile frameworks to deliver high-quality software in fast-paced environments, contributing to continuous improvements in the development process.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills
- Software Testing Expertise: 5–8 years of experience in functional testing, regression testing, and overall software quality assurance (QA) methodologies.
- Agile Methodology: Strong experience working in an agile environment, following scrum or kanban frameworks.
- Test Design & Management: Proficient in test design, test planning, and the use of test management tools for effective project execution.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze and debug test failures and identify the root causes to ensure robust solutions.
- Automation Knowledge: Experience in test automation (tools such as Selenium or similar) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational Background: B.Tech or BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Additional Testing Skills: Knowledge of performance testing and security testing is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and client management skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
