Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Provide thought leadership in security architecture with a focus on Zero Trust and Cloud Security.
- Security Architecture Design: Develop and document target reference security architecture for hybrid IT environments (multi-cloud, on-premises).
- Zero Trust Implementation: Lead the development of Zero Trust-based architecture, including strategy and high-level documents to address security risks.
- Security Roadmap Development: Create actionable technology security strategies and roadmaps to improve security posture and compliance.
- Collaboration & Advisory: Work closely with stakeholders to assess current security measures, define technical requirements, and provide architectural advisory (SABSA, TOGAF, NIST).
- Governance & Standards: Establish security governance frameworks and ensure adherence to industry best practices and standards like ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI DSS.
- Threat Modeling & Risk Management: Conduct threat modeling and manage enterprise risk to ensure systems are secure, compliant, and resilient.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed security architecture documentation, including design patterns, technology stacks, and security protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Security Architecture: 6+ years of hands-on experience in designing, architecting, and engineering enterprise security solutions (e.g., network security, cloud security, identity and access management).
- Cloud Security: Proficient in designing secure applications for public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Security Frameworks: Strong knowledge of NIST, Zero Trust Architecture, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS).
- DevOps / DevSecOps: Experience working in DevSecOps environments and understanding security implications in CI/CD pipelines.
- Security Technologies: Expertise in SIEM, SOAR, Security Automation, and Data Protection techniques.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with clients, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Application Security: Familiarity with application security practices like code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and secure development.
- Threat Modelling: Knowledge of advanced threat modeling techniques and risk assessments.
- Incident Response: Understanding of incident response protocols and how to manage cyber threats effectively.
