About the Role
As a Commercial Architect – Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping EY’s commercial strategy and frameworks for Managed Services pursuits. You’ll work closely with pursuit leaders, legal, pricing, and risk teams to design commercial propositions that drive EY’s profitability while maintaining compliance and client satisfaction.
Your work will directly contribute to EY’s strategic commercial transformation goals—balancing innovation, competitiveness, and risk management across global engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and structuring of commercial terms for Managed Services pursuits.
- Collaborate with pursuit leaders, solution architects, pricing, legal, and risk teams to develop client-ready commercial propositions.
- Support the qualification of complex managed service opportunities, focusing on commercial value and risk mitigation.
- Oversee the transition of commercial knowledge to EY delivery teams to ensure consistent contract execution.
- Continuously update and refine EY’s commercial frameworks and artefacts in alignment with global best practices.
- Conduct training sessions on commercial management for account, enablement, and delivery teams.
- Engage with cross-functional EY stakeholders globally to ensure commercial frameworks remain current and effective.
- Contribute to the development of scalable commercial strategies for multi-party, complex outsourcing engagements.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- 10+ years of commercial expertise in Managed Services, outsourcing, or large-scale consulting engagements.
- Strong business acumen and commercial negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to operate in complex, global, and matrix environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal influence and stakeholder management skills with senior executives and C-suite clients.
- Comprehensive understanding of Managed Services commercial models and contract structures.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities for diverse global audiences.
- Flexible and adaptable to cross-border collaboration and time-zone differences.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate Business Degree, Chartered Accountant (CA), or Law qualification.
- Experience leading large-scale managed service or outsourcing engagements (both operational and pre-sales).
- Proven track record in commercial modelling, pricing strategy, and risk assessment.
- Exposure to multi-party commercial delivery environments preferred.
