About the Role
As a Manager in EY’s Protect Tech team, part of Risk Consulting, you’ll lead complex engagements focused on IT Risk Management, IT SOX, IT Audits, Regulatory Compliance, and Digital Transformation. You’ll collaborate with global teams and work directly with C-suite executives of leading organizations to enhance their governance, risk, and control environments.
Your work will span emerging technologies—AI, ML, Cloud, and Automation—to build smarter risk solutions that drive client success.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery & Leadership
- Supervise and manage IT risk and control engagements, providing technical and project leadership to teams.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with key stakeholders.
- Oversee project delivery, manage risks, monitor progress, and ensure high-quality work within timelines and budget.
- Analyze IT environments, identify control gaps, and recommend solutions to strengthen risk management and compliance frameworks.
- Lead reviews for IT general controls (ITGCs), application controls, IPEs, and SOC 1/SOC 2 reports.
Advisory & Innovation
- Develop and enhance IT risk control frameworks aligned with COSO, COBIT, ISO, and NIST standards.
- Assist clients in their digital and ERP transformations (Oracle, SAP, Workday, Cloud) with a focus on security and compliance.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and support proposal creation, RFP responses, and client presentations.
- Leverage AI, ML, and automation tools to enhance risk visibility and operational efficiency.
People & Practice Development
- Manage and mentor teams of seniors and consultants across geographies.
- Foster an inclusive, innovative, and performance-driven team environment.
- Contribute to EY’s thought leadership, tools, and accelerators for IT risk and control improvement.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Strong expertise in IT Risk and Compliance, especially IT SOX and ITGC testing.
- Solid knowledge of risk, security, and compliance frameworks (COSO, COBIT, ISO, NIST).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Workday) and emerging tech (Cloud, RPA, AI/ML).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to deliver high-quality results under pressure in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 5–7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3–4 years in IT Risk and Compliance.
- Certifications (Preferred): CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CCSK, ISO 27001, or equivalent.
- Additional: Strong client-facing and project management experience with a Big 4 or leading consulting firm is highly desirable.
