Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers to deliver high-quality instrumentation project outputs within the schedule.
• Interpret client requirements and resolve technical queries related to instrumentation interfaces and project deliverables.
• Review and manage instrumentation package interfaces and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines.
• Prepare and review requisitions, specifications, data sheets, and vendor offers for all field instruments.
• Evaluate vendor drawings and select appropriate field instruments, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Develop and control instrumentation engineering deliverables such as IO databases, logic diagrams, and control narratives.
• Oversee instrument installation engineering, including review of 3D models, instrumentation layouts, hook-up diagrams, cable and tube schedules, and material take-off (MTO).
• Coordinate with system vendors and project teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems and field instruments.
• Ensure adherence to international and domestic engineering standards and industry codes specific to oil and gas projects.
• Drive continuous improvement by adopting the latest technologies in control systems and foundation fieldbus design.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and third-party stakeholders to manage project execution efficiently.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering (BTech) or equivalent.
• 8 to 13 years of experience in instrumentation engineering, preferably in the energy or hydrocarbon onshore sector.
• Strong knowledge of field instrument sizing, selection, vendor drawing review, and instrumentation control systems.
• Proficient in installation engineering, 3D model review, instrumentation layouts, hook-up diagrams, and material take-off.
• Experience working with packages such as compressors, blowers, heaters, pumps, refrigeration units, etc.
• Familiarity with international codes, standards, and good engineering practices in oil and gas.
• Experience leading detailed engineering for at least two major projects as an Area Lead Engineer.
• Expertise with control system engineering deliverables including IO databases, logic diagrams, and system vendor drawings.
