About the Opportunity

As a Senior Manager in FAAS – Record to Report (R2R), you’ll lead financial close, consolidation, reporting, and technical accounting advisory functions for EY’s global clients. You’ll work closely with FAAS leadership and drive excellence across project delivery, process improvement, and stakeholder management.
This role offers visibility across Americas and EMEIA markets, with opportunities to collaborate on complex financial transformation initiatives and automation-driven process optimization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures and ensure financial reporting accuracy.
  • Lead consolidation, GL reconciliation, intercompany transactions, and elimination processes.
  • Oversee fixed asset and capital project accounting, including depreciation and revaluation entries.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and end-user training documents.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, and EY’s internal policies.
  • Deliver variance analysis, analytical reviews, and insights for leadership decision-making.
  • Manage KPIs, SLAs, and escalation processes while maintaining quality and timelines.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of 6–10 members; oversee engagement PMO activities.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Support business development and client relationship management initiatives.
  • Participate in talent acquisition, onboarding, and learning programs within FAAS.

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Strong technical expertise in IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, and lease accounting.
  • Deep understanding of Record to Report (R2R), business unit reporting, and financial statement close processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP, with exposure to SAP Public Cloud, SAC, FloQast, Concur, Ariba, Active Disclosures, or FIS tools.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Required Qualifications

  • CA, ACCA (UK), CPA, or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution.
  • 7–12 years of experience in financial reporting, entity-level accounting, or R2R process leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and exposure to financial consolidation tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of SAP S4/HANA (public or private cloud).
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with data analytics or visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Ability to work flexibly and travel on short notice as required.
  • Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused approach.
