This role is based in Kochi, India (PAN India flexibility) and focuses on designing and implementing cloud data engineering, Snowflake architecture, and AI-driven data solutions.

As a Snowflake Manager at EY, you will lead complex cloud data engineering projects, design scalable Snowflake solutions, and help global clients leverage data governance, migration, security, integration, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities

As a Snowflake Architect – Manager at EY, you will:

• Architect and lead Snowflake-based data engineering solutions for enterprise clients.
• Configure Snowflake security, OAuth, SAML, API, storage, and notification integrations.
• Manage Snowflake RBAC, user management, dynamic masking policies, and access control.
• Design, optimize, and maintain Snowflake databases, schemas, and warehouses.
• Lead data migration from Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, and Cassandra to Snowflake SQL.
• Automate data loading from AWS S3/Azure Blob using Snowpipe and best practices.
• Develop ETL pipelines and frameworks, including metadata-driven approaches.
• Optimize Snowflake for performance, reporting, and storage efficiency.
• Implement data validation, auditing, reconciliation, and error handling mechanisms.
• Work with Snowflake advanced features – External Tables, Dynamic Tables, UDFs, UDTFs.
• Leverage AWS (S3, SQS, SNS, EC2, RDS, IAM) and Azure (Blob, IAM) for data engineering.
• Orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Snowflake Architecture & Data Engineering – Strong experience in design, development, and optimization.
• Data Governance Tools – EDC, IBM IGC, ASG, Alation, TMM.
• Cloud Platforms – AWS & Azure (data storage, orchestration, and governance).
• Data Modelling & Lineage – Erwin, data catalogs, business glossary, regulatory frameworks (BCBS, GDPR, HIPAA).
• ETL & Data Integration – Strong SQL, Snowpipe automation, semi-structured data handling.
• Real-time Data Processing – Hands-on expertise in streaming and high-performance computing.
• Client-Facing Skills – Strong communication, presentations, and presales/RFP experience.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/MCA degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years in Snowflake/data governance/data integration.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, governance frameworks, and compliance.
• Experience with Insurance/Finance domain (preferred but not mandatory).
