About the Role
As an Electronic Technician, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all electronic systems critical to rig operations. You will also support the Preventive Maintenance System (PMS), manage spare parts inventory, and ensure compliance with HSE and operational standards. You will collaborate closely with the rig crew and other technical teams to support seamless drilling operations.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance
- Install, maintain, and repair electronic systems including communication, navigation, and drilling instrumentation.
- Ensure equipment is fully operational and compliant with safety and performance standards.
Technical Support
- Troubleshoot electronic circuits, components, and systems efficiently.
- Provide technical guidance to rig crew on the use and maintenance of electronic equipment.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all HSE and operational protocols for electronic systems.
- Ensure safe handling and operation of electronic and electrical equipment on the rig.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) activities and record maintenance actions.
- Order and manage spare parts for electronic equipment.
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to maintain operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment in rigs or industrial settings.
- Skilled in electronic systems maintenance, circuit troubleshooting, and instrumentation repair.
- Knowledge of electrical principles and mechanical interfaces related to rig systems.
- Familiarity with offshore rig safety procedures.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
