Role Overview
The Electrical Maintenance SME ensures optimal performance, reliability, and operational excellence of electrical systems through CMMS administration, maintenance planning, failure analysis, and process improvement initiatives. You will provide critical technical support, mentor field technicians, and implement strategies to enhance electrical maintenance effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Planned Maintenance & Quality Control
- Develop, review, and optimize preventive maintenance plans.
- Monitor the quality and effectiveness of all electrical maintenance tasks.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory standards and company policies.
Maintenance System Administration
- Manage and optimize the CMMS (e.g., SAP) for all electrical assets.
- Maintain accurate records, including equipment history, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
Change Management & Cost Impact Assessment
- Evaluate technical changes and assess their impact on operations and maintenance budgets.
- Implement corrective actions and improvements for electrical systems.
Failure Investigation & Technical Support
- Lead root cause analysis for electrical system failures.
- Provide technical guidance to field technicians and maintenance teams.
- Recommend improvements to enhance reliability and minimize downtime.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance electrical maintenance processes and workflows.
- Promote best practices, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing across teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years in electrical maintenance within drilling or heavy industry.
- Certifications: Certified Electrical Maintenance Technician (CEMT).
- Skills & Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of rig electrical systems and industrial maintenance workflows.
- Expertise in CMMS (e.g., SAP) administration.
- Experience in reliability engineering, failure analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with HSE standards and regulatory compliance.
- Leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
