About the Role
As a Barge Captain, you will command the offshore drilling rig vessel, ensuring safe and efficient operations. You will lead and supervise the marine crew, maintain compliance with company policies and international maritime regulations, and make critical real-time decisions during offshore operations. Your expertise will ensure vessel safety, operational continuity, and crew coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Navigation & Vessel Operations
- Safely navigate and operate offshore drilling rig vessels.
- Ensure adherence to all maritime regulations and company policies.
- Monitor vessel performance and optimize operational efficiency.
Crew Management & Leadership
- Lead, supervise, and mentor marine crew members.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration between offshore and onshore teams.
Safety & Emergency Response
- Oversee vessel safety and pollution prevention measures.
- Respond to emergencies effectively, ensuring crew safety and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct safety drills and ensure adherence to HSE standards.
Communication & Collaboration
- Coordinate with onshore support and other offshore personnel to optimize operations.
- Maintain clear reporting and documentation of vessel operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Officer.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in offshore marine department on drilling rigs.
- At least 3 years as Captain or senior officer.
- Skills & Expertise:
- Strong leadership and crew management capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations.
