About the Role
As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes on offshore rigs. You will lift, transport, and place equipment and materials with precision while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and operational protocols. You will also support maintenance and emergency operations when required.
Key Responsibilities
Crane Operation & Service
- Operate cranes safely and efficiently, lifting and positioning equipment and materials.
- Follow operational procedures and instructions from the Offshore Installation Manager.
- Ensure smooth coordination with rig personnel during lifting operations.
Maintenance & Safety
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on cranes.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Report and resolve equipment issues promptly to maintain operational reliability.
Documentation & Training
- Maintain records of crane operations, maintenance, and inspections.
- Participate in training sessions and briefings to enhance operational safety and efficiency.
Emergency Duties & Additional Skills
- Assist in emergency lifting operations or rig safety procedures when needed.
- Demonstrate adaptability in fast-paced offshore environments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of crane operation experience, preferably offshore.
- Skilled in operating large cranes (25–60 tons) safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with offshore rig operations and safety protocols.
- Valid Crane Operator License required.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
