Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Manager – Business Modelling at EY Pune, you will:

• Lead business modelling and valuation projects that support clients’ strategic and financial decisions.
• Design, build, and review financial models in Excel/VBA, supporting corporate finance, M&A, restructuring, and feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure models align with business goals and industry standards.
• Identify modelling issues and propose robust, data-driven solutions.
• Manage teams, mentor analysts, and foster continuous learning and professional growth.
• Maintain client relationships, ensuring high-quality delivery and repeat business.
• Work closely with EY’s global SaT and VME practices to deliver consistent, world-class results.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Strong expertise in financial modelling and valuation.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and VBA; exposure to R/Python preferred.
• Deep understanding of corporate finance principles and analytical frameworks.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and project-management skills.
• Ability to manage projects within timelines and budgets.
• Sector experience in Industrials, Consumer Products, Healthcare, Private Equity, Banking, or Capital Markets is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting (CA), or Business.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in business modelling, valuation, investment banking, or corporate finance.
• Progress toward a professional qualification (CFA/FRM/PRM/PMP) preferred.
• Prior experience with national valuation firms, consulting, or EY/Big Four environment advantageous.
