Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Analysis

• Act as a strategic data advisor, translating business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Design, train, and optimize machine learning models using appropriate algorithms and validation techniques.
• Build and maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient data processing and delivery on big data platforms.
• Design scalable data models and storage solutions for structured and unstructured data.
• Ensure data quality and governance during acquisition, cleaning, and integration of large datasets.
• Perform complex data analysis to generate actionable insights.
• Create dashboards and reports to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

Project Management

• Lead teams in planning, executing, and monitoring data-driven projects.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Identify potential roadblocks and implement solutions to maintain project momentum.

Quality Assurance

• Develop and implement data quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct data audits and perform root cause analysis for discrepancies.
• Collaborate with data engineers to maintain and improve data infrastructure.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand data needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Communicate complex data concepts to non-technical audiences clearly.
• Act as a liaison between Data & Analytics teams and other departments to facilitate collaboration.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data management and analytics.
• Propose and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to promote continuous learning.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on experience with big data platforms (e.g., Databricks) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, Python, DAX for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
• Experience with ML libraries: scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Skilled in data visualization using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile project management.
• Ability to manage large, complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills for team and stakeholder engagement.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

Professional Experience:

• 6-8 years in data engineering, analytics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in building ETL pipelines, ML modeling, and data-driven project delivery.
