About the Role
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will help clients leverage data as a strategic asset, driving AI-powered risk consulting solutions. You will apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI techniques to solve complex business challenges while supporting safe, responsible, and scalable AI adoption.
You will be part of EY’s Protect Tech team, contributing to AI innovation, operational risk solutions, and data-driven decision-making across sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end data science projects including data collection, preprocessing, model development, evaluation, and deployment.
- Develop machine learning, statistical, and AI models to generate actionable insights.
- Apply Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques such as tokenization, lemmatization, named entity recognition, and transformer-based models.
- Lead Generative AI initiatives using large language models (LLMs), document Q&A systems, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
- Transform complex datasets into visualizations and insights for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to define requirements and deploy AI/ML solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging AI trends and contribute to thought leadership within EY.
- Ensure compliance with model risk management, governance, and ethical AI guidelines.
- Mentor junior data scientists and support cross-functional AI projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience in data science, AI, or machine learning roles.
- Strong experience in data mining, algorithms, regression, clustering, decision trees, pattern recognition, and statistical modeling.
- Hands-on expertise in Python, ML/AI libraries, and NLP workflows.
- Experience with Generative AI projects, LLMs, vector databases, and document Q&A systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) for AI/ML deployment is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
Preferred/Additional Experience
- Leading AI, data science, or business intelligence transformation projects at scale.
- Developing AI systems in a design, business, or technical capacity.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum project delivery.
- Understanding of model risk management and regulatory compliance in AI.
