Key Responsibilities
As a Principal Data Analyst at Mott MacDonald, you will:
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to identify automation needs and data opportunities.
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking of analytical tools and features.
- Perform data manipulation, analysis, and visualization across various platforms.
- Design, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and data reporting pipelines.
- Configure and integrate SharePoint, Excel, and other data sources for reporting.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance data workflows using Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Support the digital development team globally, ensuring smooth communication and data alignment.
Technical Skills & Expertise
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 12+ years of professional experience in data analytics, BI reporting, or digital transformation.
- Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, M Query) and data visualization best practices.
- Working knowledge of Python and R (preferred).
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud and analytical tools like Tableau.
- Strong command of Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Solid database management, dashboard creation, and automation experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, Civil, Mechanical, or B.Arch.
- Team Management: Proven ability to lead and collaborate with global teams.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to translate data into actionable insights that support business objectives.
