🛠️ Responsibilities
As a Lead Life Management Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Own the life certification of engine-critical components for various GE commercial engines.
- Conduct deep analysis in fatigue, fracture mechanics, and thermal stress.
- Perform mechanical component evaluations using FEA/CAE tools.
- Create and manage serviceable limits, repairs, and field issue resolutions.
- Interface with global regulatory agencies like FAA and EASA to deliver technical reports and life certifications.
- Collaborate with teams across Life Cycle Engineering, Systems, and Services.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to the Life Management Digital Playbook.
- Act as a technical leader in cross-functional teams, facilitating hand-offs and coordinating across geographies.
- Support repair development and field operations by translating failure insights into design/process improvements.
🧠 Required Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Background: PhD / MTech / MS / BE in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering.
- Experience: 4+ years in turbomachinery, jet engine design, analysis, or life management.
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Solid mechanics
- Fatigue (LCF/HCF) and fracture mechanics
- Thermal and structural analysis
- Rotor hardware design and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in FEA/CAE software for component life analysis.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
