Key Responsibilities
As a Manager – Maintenance Programs at United Airlines, you will:
- Lead and manage a matrix team of 10+ maintenance program engineers, including workload allocation, project assignments, and performance tracking.
- Act as a liaison between US and India maintenance program teams, ensuring coordination and alignment of strategies.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of aircraft maintenance programs to maximize efficiency and compliance.
- Monitor processes, identify areas for improvement, and drive initiatives to increase team throughput.
- Facilitate professional growth and development of team members to achieve departmental objectives.
- Partner with senior leadership on talent acquisition and workforce planning as needed.
- Ensure effective communication across cross-functional projects, including updates to leadership and other stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology, preferably in Aviation or a related technical field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including 2+ years leading dynamic teams.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance programs concepts, policies, procedures, task cards, and packaging.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Legally authorized to work in India without sponsorship.
- High attention to detail and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (M.Eng / M.S.) in Engineering or MBA.
- Knowledge of Boeing Toolbox and aircraft maintenance systems.
- Experience with data management, big data handling, and reporting tools.
- Basic to advanced knowledge of SQL, Python, or PySpark.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
