📌 Key Responsibilities

👨‍💼 Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across aerospace, mechanical, electronics, systems, and software disciplines.
• Foster collaboration to align team efforts with satellite mission goals and organizational strategy.

🛰️ Satellite Systems Engineering

• Oversee complete satellite system design, including architecture, subsystem integration, and validation.
• Ensure compliance with global satellite engineering standards and mission-specific design protocols.
• Drive Design for Reliability, Design for Testability, and Design Verification strategies.

📈 Project Management

• Manage satellite development lifecycle from conceptual design to launch and mission operations.
• Use Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models to track project milestones, resources, and budgets.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies proactively.

📚 Systems Integration & Documentation

• Lead requirements management, interface control, risk analysis, and verification & validation activities.
• Ensure all documentation including DFMEA, test protocols, and compliance matrices is maintained.

🔍 Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Implement quality checks throughout design, fabrication, integration, and testing.
• Guarantee adherence to ISRO, NASA, ESA, or other relevant aerospace standards.

🤝 Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (R&D, QA, Finance) and external bodies (clients, regulators, OEMs).
• Represent the team in executive briefings, technical reviews, and innovation showcases.

💡 Innovation & Optimization

• Promote the use of emerging satellite technologies, additive manufacturing, and design automation.
• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness in satellite development.

✅ Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in:
  • Designing and developing complete Satellite or Satellite Bus Systems
  • Mission planning, systems architecture, component selection, AIT (Assembly, Integration & Testing)
  • Managing launch activities and in-orbit operations
• Deep understanding of:
  • Satellite sub-systems: power, propulsion, payload, thermal, ADCS, communication
  • Aerospace standards and global best practices
• Tools: NX, MATLAB, Simulink, ANSYS, Project Management platforms (MS Project, JIRA)
• Soft skills: Excellent communication, stakeholder alignment, cross-functional coordination
• Strategic experience in budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning for space missions

🎓 Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Systems Engineering
