Key Responsibilities
As a Workday HCM Consultant at Deloitte, you will:
- Design, build, test, and deploy Workday integrations using best practices and industry standards.
- Develop and document program code, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues involving Workday HCM modules.
- Translate functional specifications and change requests into clear, technical specifications.
- Lead integration workstreams through all project phases autonomously.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver high-impact HR transformation projects.
- Manage Workday tools including Cloud Connectors, Core Connectors, EIB, Studio integrations, and Report Writer.
- Utilize APIs, XML, XSLT, XPath, and web service technologies (REST, SOAP, WSDL) to enhance integrations.
- Provide production support, incident resolution, and warranty services for deployed integrations.
- Apply Agile and SDLC methodologies for efficient project delivery.
- Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the HR transformation team.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Certified in Workday Integration or Workday HCM modules such as Absence, Compensation, Time Tracking, Benefits, Learning, or Recruiting.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Workday Integration and Functional Development.
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Connectors, EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, XML/XSLT, APIs, and web services.
- Functional understanding of Workday HCM modules: Core HR, Payroll, Recruitment, Business Process Configuration, and Security.
- Experience with web services technologies such as REST, SOAP, WSDL, SSL, PGP, and SAML.
- Ability to work independently and lead integration streams end-to-end.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for managing client expectations.
- Agile mindset with experience working in iterative project environments.
- Self-motivated, quick learner with a passion for technology and HR transformation.
Qualifications
- Workday Integration Certification or Workday HCM Certification with at least one related module.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, HRIS, or related fields preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Workday integration, functional development, or HR transformation consulting.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites across India.
- Strong command of English (verbal and written).
Work Location & Work Model
- Base Location: PAN India (Delhi CEC preferred)
- Hybrid work model with flexibility based on client and project needs.
- Occasional travel to client locations may be required.
