EY is hiring a Vice President – Transaction Strategy & Execution (SaT) in Mumbai, India. Key Responsibilities

As a Vice President – SaT at EY-Parthenon, you will:

  • Lead M&A engagements including due diligence, integration, separation, and value creation initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives, aligning deal strategy with business goals.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and multiple high-impact engagements simultaneously.
  • Deliver high-quality outputs: synergy assessments, strategic reports, operating models, and execution roadmaps (Day 1/Day 100).
  • Drive business development, proposals, and client relationship building.
  • Analyze financial, operational, and HR datasets to uncover risks, synergies, and opportunities.

Functional Expertise Tracks

1. Operations (ODD & Value Creation)

  • Conduct Operational Due Diligence (ODD) for buy- and sell-side deals.
  • Lead post-merger synergy realization and performance improvement programs.
  • Focus areas: supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, shared services.
  • Develop EBITDA transformation plans and growth strategies.

Preferred Background: Industrials, Automotive, Chemicals, Consumer Goods, Pharma, or Retail; experience in lean operations and supply chain optimization.


2. Finance

  • Lead financial due diligence, carve-out planning, and integration strategy.
  • Analyze financial statements: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow.
  • Improve finance function processes: P2P, O2C, R2R, tax, treasury, FP&A.
  • Evaluate financial controls, ERP systems, and reporting frameworks.
  • Drive finance transformation and readiness assessments.

Preferred Background: CA/MBA Finance with experience in financial transformation, FP&A, or shared services.


3. Human Resources (HR)

  • Conduct HR due diligence, integration, and separation in M&A deals.
  • Evaluate compensation, benefits, and organizational design.
  • Advise on end-to-end employee lifecycle: recruitment to exit.
  • Lead cultural assessments, compliance reviews, and change management.
  • Identify HR synergies and risks and design integration roadmaps.

Preferred Background: MBA/PGDM in HR, experience in HR transformation, HCM systems, or people strategy consulting.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Finance Track: CA / MBA Finance.
    • Operations Track: MBA Strategy/Operations or BE with industry experience.
    • HR Track: MBA / PGDM in Human Resources.
  • Experience: 8–12 years in consulting, corporate, or industry with M&A or transformation exposure.
  • Prior experience in top-tier consulting or private equity-backed deals preferred.
  • Global exposure and cross-border project experience is an advantage.
