About the Role
As a Vice President in EY’s Strategy and Transactions (SaT) – Capital and Debt Advisory team, you’ll be at the forefront of financial transformation — advising corporates, private equity firms, banks, and investors on capital structuring, debt solutions, restructuring, and distressed asset management.
You’ll play a pivotal role in executing high-value transactions, managing cross-functional teams, and fostering client relationships that drive business growth and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Client and Transaction Leadership
- Build and manage relationships with corporates, lenders, financial sponsors, ARCs, and legal advisors.
- Identify and originate opportunities in the stressed assets, insolvency, and debt restructuring space.
- Lead transaction execution including deal structuring, due diligence, documentation, and closure.
- Develop and deliver pitch presentations, business models, information memoranda, and resolution plans.
- Advise clients on capital raising, restructuring, and Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC)-related processes.
Strategic and Analytical Excellence
- Conduct financial and operational analyses to assess corporate health and turnaround opportunities.
- Develop sector-specific strategies and restructuring frameworks for distressed and high-growth assets.
- Support business planning, valuation, and modeling activities.
- Collaborate with legal and financial advisors for term sheets and definitive transaction documentation.
- Monitor client financials, performance, and cash flows to identify partnership, acquisition, or divestment opportunities.
Leadership and Risk Management
- Supervise and mentor teams of Managers and Associates during deal execution.
- Ensure adherence to EY’s risk management and quality standards in all engagements.
- Contribute to practice growth by developing new service offerings and client relationships.
- Stay updated with regulatory and market trends in capital markets and insolvency frameworks.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong expertise in investment banking, restructuring, and corporate finance.
- Advanced financial modeling and analysis capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead teams and manage complex transactions under tight timelines.
- Analytical and strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
- In-depth understanding of India’s regulatory and debt resolution landscape.
Qualifications
- MBA from a Tier-I Indian B-school (IIM, ISB, XLRI, FMS, etc.) preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of post-qualification experience in:
- Investment Banks
- M&A Teams of Banks/NBFCs
- Private Equity/Venture Capital firms
- Transaction Advisory or Corporate Finance divisions
