About the Role

As a Cybersecurity Consultant (SIEM & IBM Guardium), you’ll be part of Deloitte’s Cyber Detection & Response team. You will help clients design, implement, and manage advanced database security monitoring systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.

This position offers exposure to enterprise-level cybersecurity, threat intelligence, and data governance, allowing you to grow your technical and leadership skills within a world-class consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install & Configure IBM Guardium appliances (STAP, E-STAP, Universal Connector for cloud).
• Develop & Optimize Security Policies — create, tune, and implement Guardium rules and controls.
• Database Security Management — onboard databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, and MySQL.
• Compliance & Auditing — configure vulnerability assessments and generate compliance reports (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Incident Response — monitor, analyze, and respond to data security alerts and anomalies.
• Integrations — connect Guardium with SIEM platforms, ITSM tools, and cloud infrastructure.
• Performance Optimization — monitor system health and enhance DAM performance.
• Collaboration — work with Deloitte’s cyber teams to develop security strategies for enterprise clients.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Guardium or similar Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) tools.
• Strong understanding of data security, database administration, and compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional cybersecurity environment.

Preferred Skills

• IBM Guardium certification or equivalent.
• Experience in automation scripting (Shell, Python).
• Knowledge of SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar).
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems, network protocols, and hybrid cloud setups.
• Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conducting vulnerability assessments.

Qualifications

• Education: B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline (Tier 1/2 institutes preferred).
• Certifications: IBM Guardium / Cybersecurity / Compliance-related certifications preferred.
• Location: Mumbai (onsite).
