Aon India is seeking a skilled Transition Manager to lead and manage complex BPO and business process transitions within our Global Spend Management (GSM) unit in Gurugram. This role involves overseeing end-to-end project transitions, ensuring smooth offshoring or transfer of operations to Service Delivery Centers (SDC), Centers of Excellence (CoE), or third-party vendors. The ideal candidate will have strong project management, stakeholder management, and operational expertise, along with experience in PMP, Six Sigma, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities

Transition & Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end transitions of processes from market/function/centre to SDC, CoE, or third-party vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to timelines, scope, budgets, and business case objectives.
  • Plan and execute staffing, training, knowledge transfer, SLA implementation, and quality assurance.
  • Maintain master risk logs, project documentation, and MIS updates.
  • Manage up to three concurrent transition projects, coordinating resources effectively.

Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for project team queries.
  • Interface with onshore clients, leadership, and project teams to facilitate integration and build strong partnerships.
  • Influence and coordinate with stakeholders across operations, finance, HR, technology, procurement, and real estate.
  • Provide regular project progress updates to Steering Committees, clients, and internal teams.

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Assess technical and economic feasibility for offshoring opportunities.
  • Support strategic optimization initiatives and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to process mapping, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and operational efficiency.

Skills & Competencies

  • Project Management: Strong planning, execution, and documentation skills using PMP/DMAIC methodologies.
  • Analytical Thinking: Data-driven decision-making with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent English communication, able to manage virtual teams and cross-cultural stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Ability to influence and guide team members without direct authority.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply Six Sigma principles and structured methodologies to enhance efficiency.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MIS reporting skills.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Certifications: PMP, Prince2, or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3-4 years in Transitions management
    • 12+ years in BPO operations or project management
    • 2+ years in team leadership or managing virtual teams
    • Experience working at onshore client locations
