Key Responsibilities
- Perform static (SAST), dynamic (DAST), and software composition analysis (SCA) for application security testing.
- Strategize and implement secure coding practices and standards (e.g., OWASP Top Ten).
- Lead threat modeling sessions to identify and mitigate security risks proactively.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure secure applications.
- Utilize industry-standard security tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, and Fortify.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle.
- Document security findings and provide actionable remediation guidance.
- Participate in IBM’s mission to deliver innovative solutions responsibly and securely.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (BE/B.Tech in any stream, M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT, or MCA).
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Application Security Testing.
- Proficiency in SAST, DAST, and SCA tools.
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and code review methodologies.
- Ability to conduct threat modeling and provide actionable mitigation plans.
- Experience using security tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, Fortify.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in relevant field.
- Experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms and hybrid environments.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, endpoint security, and networking protocols.
