As an Application Security Consultant at IBM, you will be responsible for conducting static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST/SCA), implementing secure coding standards, and performing vulnerability assessments. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct application security testing using SAST, DAST, and SCA tools.
- Implement and enforce secure coding standards in alignment with OWASP Top Ten.
- Perform threat modeling to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for client applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to review code and remediate security issues.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, tools, and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech, M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT), or MCA.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in application security testing.
- Strong expertise in SAST/DAST/SCA tools and secure coding practices.
- Knowledge of OWASP Top Ten and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience in threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, or Fortify.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and secure application development frameworks.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, client-facing environment.
- Strong attention to detail, proactive in identifying security risks, and adaptable to emerging technologies.
