Key Responsibilities
As a Strategic Analytics Associate, you will:
- Lead fraud risk analytics and strategy development for credit card acquisitions.
- Monitor third-party fraud trends and identify proactive responses to minimize customer exposure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, tech, and operations.
- Conduct data-driven investigations into high-loss cases and identify strategic process improvements.
- Develop insightful dashboards and reports to communicate trends and strategy performance.
- Provide actionable recommendations for fraud mitigation and business process optimization.
- Analyze large data sets from multiple sources to derive key fraud prevention insights.
- Support strategic initiatives through quantitative analysis and stakeholder collaboration.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a quantitative, analytical, or business discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Risk Management, Fraud Analytics, or Data Science.
- Strong background in statistics, econometrics, and data modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL, SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, and other analytical tools.
- Ability to query, manipulate, and interpret large datasets to generate actionable insights.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and storytelling abilities for presenting insights to stakeholders.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a Fraud Risk or Credit Card Fraud role.
- Understanding of ID theft prevention, P&L metrics, and profitability drivers.
- Experience with data experimentation, statistical modeling, and fraud detection systems.
- Ability to work in cross-functional risk and operations environments with agility.
