Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Systems Engineer – QatarEnergy, you will:
- Design, validate, and implement state-of-the-art telecommunications architectures.
- Ensure scalability, resiliency, and availability of telecom infrastructure.
- Lead integration and delivery of telecom applications and services across the corporation.
- Coordinate with ICT divisions, project managers, and external stakeholders.
- Support daily operation, management, and troubleshooting of telecom systems.
- Analyze technical logs and incident data to recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain technical blueprints, design documents, manuals, and proposals.
- Apply preventive and corrective measures to sustain fault-free system operation.
- Manage and track progress of multiple telecom infrastructure projects.
Required Skills & Expertise
- 10+ years of progressive technical experience in telecommunication systems, with at least 7 years in hands-on system design, operation, and support.
- Expert knowledge of SDH/PDH, DWDM, Microwave, Fiber Optics, CCTV, PAGA, ACS, Radios, and NMS.
- Strong expertise in IP Telephony, TCP/IP, SCADA, and industrial telecom systems.
- Proven experience in hardware installation, configuration, and IP convergence systems.
- Strong project management, planning, and reporting skills.
- Ability to prepare technical studies, feasibility reports, and tender documents.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication with ability to create detailed technical documentation.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent field.
