Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and observable systems supporting enterprise applications.
- Execute small to medium projects independently, contributing to the firm’s infrastructure reliability goals.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code using modern programming languages to automate operational tasks.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve incidents while implementing long-term preventative solutions.
- Develop monitoring, alerting, and telemetry solutions using tools like Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, and Prometheus.
- Identify repetitive tasks (“toil”) and automate them to improve efficiency.
- Support the development of Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for critical systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure resiliency, fault tolerance, and continuous delivery across infrastructure.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps roles.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or Shell).
- Experience managing cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Working knowledge of monitoring, observability, and telemetry tools — Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform.
- Understanding of networking technologies and system performance optimization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Linux/Windows server administration and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Basic understanding of the financial services industry or enterprise-grade infrastructure.
- Passion for learning new technologies and improving automation practices.
- Familiarity with incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call operations.
