Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Process Engineer – Downstream Projects at QatarEnergy, your main duties include:
🛠 Technical Design & Optimization
- Provide expert technical input throughout the lifecycle of downstream oil & gas projects.
- Initiate, review, and optimize facility design to ensure performance, efficiency, and value delivery.
🔄 Project Execution & Integration
- Support project development from feasibility through detailed design and execution.
- Manage design integration and ensure alignment with business and operational requirements.
👥 Stakeholder & Interface Management
- Engage and collaborate with internal teams and external JV partners.
- Lead coordination across multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
To be successful in this QatarEnergy senior process engineering role, candidates should bring:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly downstream.
- At least 5 years in major brownfield or greenfield project execution.
- Strong track record in:
- Project development & feasibility assessments
- Design optimization
- Technical and stakeholder interface management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work across multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- High-level problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (BSc Chem Eng) from an accredited institution.
- Additional certifications in project management or process simulation tools are a plus.
