Key Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect at Halliburton, your key duties will include:
- Leading the design and development of scalable, robust enterprise cloud platforms aligned with business needs.
- Acting as the Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME), guiding cloud strategy and adoption across IT Solution Build & Operate (SBO).
- Conducting architecture design reviews and ensuring compliance with technical standards throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending solutions to enhance platform performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Supporting product delivery teams by resolving complex technical challenges.
- Driving cloud adoption planning, application design, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.
- Establishing and enforcing best practices for cloud performance optimization, security frameworks, and cost management.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless enterprise application integration.
Skills & Expertise
- Extensive experience in enterprise architecture and software development with 10+ years in the IT industry.
- Proven expertise in designing and supporting Microsoft Azure PaaS cloud solutions (3+ years).
- Strong hands-on skills with Microsoft technologies including .NET, Azure DevOps, and SQL Server.
- Deep understanding of modern SDLC methodologies including cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines, secure design patterns, and agile iterative development.
- Proficiency in cloud performance tuning, security protocols, and cost control.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of operating systems, networking, and enterprise application integration.
- Experience with SaaS platforms, business intelligence/analytics, and SAP S4 integration is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in software development, enterprise architecture, or IT solution integration.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience working with Azure PaaS cloud solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, scalability, and best architectural practices.
- Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks and tools.
