Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-performing engineering team focused on in-store grocery technology solutions.
- Drive the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation and maintenance of scalable multi-tier web services.
- Collaborate closely with store operations, product teams, and global engineering partners to deliver seamless, customer-centric grocery experiences.
- Translate ambiguous business challenges into clear technical strategies and deliver robust software platforms.
- Ensure software reliability, maintainability, and scalability with best engineering practices including code reviews, testing, and live site operations.
- Recruit, mentor, and coach software engineers to foster career growth and enhance team productivity.
- Partner with product and program management teams to align engineering efforts with strategic business goals.
Skills & Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional engineering experience in software development.
- At least 3 years of proven experience managing and leading engineering teams.
- 8+ years designing and developing scalable multi-tier web services.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices: coding standards, source control, build processes, testing, and live site operations.
- Experience working collaboratively with product management and program teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills to engage users, technical teams, and senior leadership.
- Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and managing software engineering teams to improve their technical and product development skills.
- Passion for building innovative technology that improves physical retail grocery shopping experiences.
