Key Responsibilities
🖥️ Software Design & Development Leadership
- Lead the software design and development for command and control systems, focusing on real-time embedded software.
- Architect scalable, efficient, and maintainable solutions using advanced C++ programming, OOP principles, and multithreading.
- Oversee UI development using Qt/QML and backend integration with MongoDB and MySQL databases.
⚙️ System & Software Engineering
- Manage the full software development life cycle (SDLC) including analysis, design, coding, debugging, testing, and maintenance.
- Implement and optimize communication protocols such as UDP/TCP interfaces.
- Utilize RTOS (VxWorks) for real-time task scheduling and system stability.
🧩 Team Management & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of at least 5 software engineers to deliver high-quality software products.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems engineering, and QA for seamless project delivery.
- Ensure adherence to software version control processes using GIT and maintain comprehensive software documentation.
🔍 Quality & Performance Optimization
- Apply strong structured programming techniques, code optimization, and debugging skills to ensure software reliability.
- Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and performance profiling to meet stringent quality standards.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate best practices into development workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
- Experience: 8-12 years in embedded software design, preferably in defense or precision engineering sectors.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in C++, STL, OOP, multithreading
- Hands-on experience with Qt Creator, QML, MATLAB
- Familiar with RTOS (VxWorks) and Linux/Unix environments (Red Hat preferred)
- Knowledge of DBMS including MongoDB and MySQL
- Experience with software version control tools like GIT
- Understanding of Data Distribution System (DDS), TCP/UDP communication protocols
- Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and debugging techniques
- Preferred:
- Experience in Combat Management Systems (CMS)
- Prior leadership experience in software design and development teams.
