About the Role: SOAR Consultant – Deloitte Cyber Team
As a SOAR Consultant (Cortex XSOAR) at Deloitte India, you will design, develop, and manage orchestration workflows and automation logic to support cybersecurity operations. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally within Security Operations Centers (SOCs), and work hands-on with clients to deploy resilient, automated incident response solutions powered by Cortex XSOAR.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SOAR playbooks for automated threat detection, analysis, and response.
- Integrate security tools (SIEM, EDR, threat intelligence) into Cortex XSOAR workflows.
- Write and optimize custom Python scripts for XSOAR automation.
- Tune playbooks for detection accuracy, performance, and reduced false positives.
- Document playbook logic, incident workflows, and SOC process guidelines.
- Mentor L1 analysts and lead knowledge-sharing sessions on SOAR techniques.
- Support full lifecycle threat detection and incident management.
- Enhance SOC capabilities using MITRE ATT&CK framework mapping and threat intelligence.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of security automation and orchestration best practices.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in Cortex XSOAR playbook development and SOAR operations.
- Strong programming abilities with Python scripting.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools like Splunk, QRadar, or Elastic.
- Solid understanding of cyber threats, malware behaviors, and attack frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and collaborate within high-paced security teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
- SOC operational experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS).
- SOAR Certified Automation Engineer certification is a plus.
